Since we’re on the topic of savoury snacks, it would be unfair of us not to mention one of our favourite ranges of activated pili nuts… Part of why we love what we do at Zebra is making interesting new ingredients accessible to everyone. And pili nuts are one such ingredient. We’re nuts about pili nuts – a Philippine superfood known for being packed with protein and healthy vitamins.

If there ever was a time to try out this nutritious nut, it’s now! Best of all? You can get them in a variety of flavours, from himalayan salt to chilli and even chocolate and coconut.

  1. Dragon Fruit Chips

If you haven’t tried pili nuts, you may have missed out on dragon fruit, too. This exotic fruit is high in antioxidants and vitamin C. Soul Fruit have turned them into an appetizing plant-based snack. These products are full of 100% fruit, with no added sugar, sulphites, additives or preservatives. And they’re gluten-free. (Check all the boxes, in our opinion!).

What Top 10 Plant-Based Snack list would be complete without something utterly decadent and oozing pure delight? These walnut whirls – which also come in Dark Chocolate Sloe Gin and original Dark Chocolate – are the perfect gift for a special person (even if that special person is YOU)!

  1. Well & Truly Crunchies

Now, we’re obsessed with the crunchy corn snacks made by Well & Truly. These are a (kinda addictive – if we’re honest) salty snack that add a much-needed crunch to any snack table. That is, if you feel like sharing them! From punchy pickles and smokey paprika to a classic sea salt and cider vinegar, these cracking corn snacks will keep you coming back for more.

  1. ChicP Hummus

How could we forget!? With all this talk about chips, you must’ve started thinking about dips… Houmous or hummus – however you like to spell it – is one of the tastiest, wholesome and healthy dips out there. Rumour has it that hummus makes everything taste better, but you’ll have to test this one out for yourself. 

Made entirely from chickpeas, hummus is an amazing source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, as well as plant-based protein. While the original velvet hummus will certainly go well with anything, we’d recommend trying the beetroot and horseradish, carrot, ginger and turmeric and herby hummus flavours, too.

  1. Cookies!

Cookies are traditionally thought of as a ‘naughty’ snack… But no longer! We had to include Yaro’s cookies in this list, because they bring all the scrumptious flavour that you’d want in a cookie, with none of the bad stuff! They have both a classic oat cookie and a chocolate cookie with their main ingredient: chia seeds… So these are literally superfood cookies. 

  1. Pocket-Sized Pies

We may have actually kept the best for last… The pocket-sized pies are the best kind of on-the-go snack. Pop them in your car, your bag or keep them handy at your desk. They’re made from simple, natural and healthy ingredients. With an oaty base, you can choose either a cashew butter, chocolate, pecan or peanut filling – YUM!
